Vaping Products Duty is charged at Β£2.20 per 10ml of vaping liquid from 1 October 2026. For prefilled pod kits that's a fixed cost built into every pod, whatever the pack price.
44p per 2ml pod
Prefilled pods can hold up to 2ml, so each full pod carries 44p duty.
Duty stamps
Duty-paid products released from 1 October 2026 need a duty stamp.
Older stock
Unstamped stock made or imported before 1 October 2026 can be sold until 31 March 2027.
Devices and coils
Duty applies to the liquid, not to empty devices, coils or empty pods.

Protecting your margin when you order
Simple habits that keep stock cost under control:
Price at least two tiers. Keep an entry-price kit and a larger kit with refills, so customers can trade up.
Order refills with the kit. A customer who can't find refill pods buys a new kit elsewhere.
Watch slow flavours. Reorder the flavours that sell and drop the ones that don't, rather than repeating a full mix.
Divide the pack price by the number of units shown in the product title, such as box of 5 or box of 10. Then compare that figure with your shelf price to see your margin per kit. Remember that duty is already built into the price of duty-paid products.
