Order nic shots wholesale from Nic Up, Nic Nic, Nic Drip and Salt Base. Unflavoured 10ml nicotine shots in 15mg, 18mg and 20mg, with 50VG, 70VG and 100VG bases and ice options, for mixing into nicotine-free shortfills.
This collection covers wholesale nicotine shots: unflavoured 10ml bottles of nicotine that customers add to nicotine-free shortfills. The range comes from Nic Up, Nic Nic, Nic Drip and Salt Base, in 15mg, 18mg and 20mg strengths and 50VG, 70VG and 100VG bases, as shown in each product title.
Almost every shortfill sale needs one or two shots, so this is one of the most frequently reordered lines in a vape shop. Having the right strength and VG level on the counter keeps those sales from going elsewhere.
Shots are 10ml each, so the final strength depends on the shot strength and the shortfill size. The common mixes are:
50ml + one 18mg shot
Makes 60ml at 3mg.
100ml + two 18mg shots
Makes 120ml at 3mg.
50ml + one 15mg shot
Makes 60ml at 2.5mg.
100ml + two 15mg shots
Makes 120ml at 2.5mg.
Match the VG of the shot to the shortfill where you can. A 70VG shot in a 70VG shortfill keeps the ratio the same, while a 100VG shot keeps a high-VG mix thick for sub-ohm tanks. 50VG shots suit 50/50 shortfills such as those in our 100ml e-liquids range. Keep shots next to your 50ml shortfills so customers don't forget them.
Duty on nicotine shots
Each nic shot is 10ml of vaping liquid, so it's charged Vaping Products Duty the same way as any other e-liquid from 1 October 2026:
£2.20 per shot
Every 10ml shot carries £2.20 of duty.
120ml mix: £26.40
A 100ml shortfill (£22) plus two shots (£4.40) carries £26.40 in total.
60ml mix: £13.20
A 50ml shortfill (£11) plus one shot (£2.20) carries £13.20.
Stamps and older stock
Duty-paid stock released from 1 October 2026 needs a stamp; unstamped older stock can be sold until 31 March 2027.
Shots also fall under TPD: they contain nicotine, so they are capped at 10ml and 20mg/ml. Our vape tax guide explains the duty, and our retailer compliance guide covers labelling and age checks.
Keeping nic shots in stock
A few habits that keep shot sales steady:
Order in proportion. Plan about one shot per 50ml shortfill and two per 100ml shortfill you expect to sell.
Lead with 18mg 70VG. It's the most common pairing for 3mg sub-ohm mixes; add 100VG and 15mg for customers who ask.
Keep them by the till. Shots are an easy add-on at the counter when a customer buys a shortfill.
Explain ice shots. Ice shots add cooling as well as nicotine, so mention this before customers add them to a flavour.
Frequently asked questions
What is a nic shot?
+
A nic shot is a 10ml bottle of unflavoured nicotine liquid made to be added to a nicotine-free shortfill. Shortfill bottles leave space for one or two shots, letting customers make a larger bottle of e-liquid at their chosen nicotine strength.
How many nic shots go in a 100ml shortfill?
+
Usually two. Two 10ml 18mg shots in a 100ml shortfill make 120ml at 3mg. For a 50ml shortfill, one 18mg shot makes 60ml at 3mg. Customers should shake the bottle well after adding shots.
What's the difference between 70VG and 100VG shots?
+
It's the base the nicotine comes in. A 70VG shot keeps a 70/30 shortfill at the same ratio, while a 100VG shot keeps a high-VG mix thick for sub-ohm tanks. 50VG shots suit 50/50 shortfills. The VG level is in each product title.
What is an ice shot?
+
An ice shot is a nicotine shot with a cooling agent added. It gives the finished e-liquid a colder exhale as well as nicotine. It's worth telling customers this, as it changes the taste of whatever shortfill they add it to.
Is there duty on nicotine shots?
+
Yes. From 1 October 2026, Vaping Products Duty is £2.20 per 10ml, so each shot carries £2.20. A 100ml shortfill with two shots carries £26.40 in total. Unstamped stock made or imported before October 2026 can be sold until 31 March 2027.
Can I order shots together with shortfills?
+
Yes. Shots can go in the same order as shortfills, kits and the rest of our range, and orders over £150 qualify for free delivery. You can order a single trade pack of a line, and the delivery charge shows at checkout.
