Electrical and vaping rules for Bling kits
Crystal Bling kits are rechargeable electrical products as well as vapes, so two sets of rules apply alongside the single-use ban that started on 1 June 2025:
- Reusable design
A rechargeable battery and replaceable prefilled pod, with the coil in the pod, meets the GOV.UK reusable test.
- Chargers
Mains chargers must carry a UKCA or CE mark and the maker or importer's details.
- WEEE take-back
Retailers must offer take-back of waste electricals, in store or via the Distributor Take-back Scheme.
- Duty and age
£2.20 per 10ml duty from 1 October 2026 (44p per 2ml pod); 18+ for all vapes from 29 October 2026.

Bling buying notes
Before you add Crystal Bling to an order:

How much duty is on a Bling pod?

From 1 October 2026 Vaping Products Duty is £2.20 per 10ml. A 2ml prefilled pod carries 44p. Products released from that date need a duty stamp, while unstamped stock made earlier can be sold until 31 March 2027.
Can I sell Crystal Bling kits to anyone over 16?

No. Vapes must only be sold to over-18s, and from 29 October 2026 the Tobacco and Vapes Act applies that limit to every vaping product, nicotine-free included. Trading Standards can issue £200 fixed penalty notices for underage sales.
