Why Click kits are legal to sell after the ban
Single-use vapes have been banned in England since 1 June 2025. A Click kit counts as reusable because it has a rechargeable battery, a replaceable prefilled pod, and a coil that's replaced with the pod. What that means at the counter:
- Pods on sale
Refill pods should be separately available to customers, and you may be asked to show this at inspection.
- TPD limits
Prefilled pods hold no more than 2ml of nicotine e-liquid, at up to 20mg/ml.
- 44p duty per pod
Vaping Products Duty of £2.20 per 10ml applies from 1 October 2026, which is 44p on a 2ml pod.
- Age of sale
From 29 October 2026, all vaping products are 18+ under the Tobacco and Vapes Act.
