Which coils fit the Oxva Origin X?
The Origin X uses Oxva Uni coils, which press into the pod without tools: 0.2Ω mesh (55–60W), 0.3Ω mesh (30–40W), 0.5Ω mesh (20–25W) and 1.0Ω (10–15W). The kit includes the 0.2Ω and 1.0Ω coils, and an optional RBA deck is sold separately for rebuilding.
Does the Origin X come with a battery?
No. It takes one high-drain 18650 battery, sold separately, behind a magnetic door. Use a reputable cell rated for the wattage you vape at, and carry spare cells in a protective case.
Is the Origin X MTL or DTL?
Both, depending on the coil. The 0.2Ω mesh is for direct-lung vaping with higher-VG e-liquid, while the 1.0Ω coil with the airflow ring fitted gives a mouth-to-lung draw that suits nic salt or 50/50 e-liquid.
How do I charge the Origin X?
Charge the 18650 in the device over USB-C, rated at 2A, or in a dedicated external battery charger. A UK review noted the device needs to lie on its side while charging through the base port.
How do I fill and prime a new coil?
Press the coil into the pod, open the silicone bung and fill with e-liquid, then close it. Leave a new coil about five minutes to soak and start at the lower end of its wattage range before turning up.
Is the Origin X legal after the June 2025 vape ban, and is it TPD compliant?
Yes. The ban from 1 June 2025 covers single-use vapes, and the Origin X has a replaceable battery and refillable pod. The UK TPD version holds 2ml. It may only be sold to adults aged 18 and over, and Vaping Products Duty of £2.20 per 10ml from 1 October 2026 applies to e-liquid, not the device.
Is the Origin X suitable for beginners?
It is better suited to adults with some vaping experience, because it needs a separate 18650 battery and correct wattage setting. Beginners usually find a built-in-battery, draw-activated pod kit simpler.
How should an old Origin X and its battery be disposed of?
The device and its 18650 are electrical and battery waste (WEEE) and must not go in household bins. Take them to a shop with vape take-back or a recycling point for electricals and batteries, and never puncture or burn a cell.
